We evaluate technologies and knowledge, based on their potential for becoming healthy ventures. So we look to form a company for the future and not just create a one-off product. It is important to screen for those ideas that fit our focus and experience within the LifeScience sector (including digital solutions) – such that we are the right partner to create value. If we find the idea interesting and something that we can add value to, the idea progress to Concept-phase.
CONCEPT I and II:
During the concept phase we engage into the partnership to establish further the outline of the project and venture potential. We assess the opportunity closer from aspects such as technology, commercial, regulatory, manufacturability, timelines and resource requirements. We create the outline of an agreement with the technology or knowledge owner(s). Once the agreement is in place (in the diagram indicated as Concept-phase II), we can start to use further ressources and work on the critical project risks, such as for example Intellectual Property or market assessment. If the outcome is positive, we progress to creating the final agreement, and we start development.
We develop the product for first market entry. We prepare the company for the market launch and further growth.
Once the first product is ready for market, we launch into selected countries. We prefer launch into Denmark (home-market) and one other country. Once we are happy with the progress and maturity of the company, Dianova will seek to Exit. An Exit can be in many ways, e.g. license agreements, buy-out, selling the company (in agreement with Founder(s)) etc..
Dianova needs to Exit in order to focus on creating more great Danish companies from new technologies and knowledge.
